Shelley Rae
Biography:
Shelley Rae is passionate about moving image and has explored the use of video and photography within a multi-media approach, including large scale installations. Rae’s work has previewed in screenings such as in ViDEa 3 in Italy, Festaal Kreuzberg and Preview Berlin Art Fair in Germany. Within her short films she examines the concept of memory, half forgotten snippets from long ago, and the uncanny circumstances that re-awaken visions from our past. In 2008, Rae was shortlisted for the Bloomberg Contemporaries award for her video installation, “ A Hero Ain’t Nothin’ But A Sandwich”.
