ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION

STORY: Police searched the home of ex-NFL player Aaron Hernandez early Friday morning (June 28), possibly in connection with a 2012 double-murder in Boston.

Boston police were said to be investigating links between Hernandez and the unsolved 2012 shooting deaths of Daniel Jorge Correia de Abreu, 29, and Safiro Teixeira Furtado, 28, the Boston Globe has reported, citing two unidentified law enforcement sources.

The victims, both from Dorchester, Massachusetts, were killed in Boston's South End on July 16, 2012 after someone fired at the BMW they were in.

Investigators did not leave Hernandez's home in North Attleborough with evidence bags on Friday morning but were seen taking pictures inside the home during their search.

Hernandez remains in jail charged with the murder of his friend and semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd whose body was found June 17 in an industrial park near Hernandez' home.
