Millions of Iranians have been marking al-Quds day - or Jerusalem day - in support of Palestinians.
Every year on the last Friday of Ramadan, Iranians join rallies against Israeli control of east Jerusalem and to show solidarity for the Palestinian cause.
The annual event began after the 1979 revolution.
