Pariah - Signal Loss

This Video is the result of an open task Video Project at the Köln International School of Design, on which we worked from December 2012 to February 2013. We used the Microsoft XBOX360 Kinect and ReconstructMe to scan a human body to create the character. After rigging, we used MoCap-Data for the model animation. The seemingly simple yet vibrant low-poly environment was created to mirror the melancholic mood of Pariah's track. It took over a week to render the clip on a 8-machine renderfarm, we set up at the university. Please feel free to ask, if you have any further questions.

Thanks to everyone for the numerous reviews, reposts and all the postive feedback for our project!
Thanks to the Vimeo Crew for the Staff Pick!

Pariah - signal loss

R&S Records

London-based producer Arthur Cayzer, known to most in his Pariah disguise, stumbled upon his inaugural single on legendary R&S Records almost by accident. Late one night he was listening to the original track he’d sampled and was inspired to turn its soulful direction into warped r‘n’b with a heavy bass line. Titled Detroit Falls and placed on his MySpace page, it was picked up by R&S, who have since taken the producer under their wings where he debuted with a six-track EP. Like its maker, Safehouses journeys into myriad territories of smokey beats, atmospheric dread and soulful elation.
