James McAvoy hits blue carpet for 'Filth' premiere

There are high hopes for new movie "Filth". It's had glowing reviews, is based on the book of the same name by Irvine Welsh, who also wrote the now iconic story "Trainspotting" and stars one of the most prominent British actors of the moment, James McAvoy.

However, McAvoy nearly missed out on the central role of the bigoted, sex obsessed drug-taking police officer. Irivine Welsh, who was there to launch the adaptation of his book on September 30th, didn't at first think he was suitable.
