Inez Barlatier (Vocals-Rhythm Guitar) and Jayan "Cheesecake" Bertrand (Vocals-Lead Guitar) fuse their interests of world beat and Indie styles with the music of their Haitian-American upbringing. Their powerful brand of Afro-Indie Rock has swept into the Miami music scene with a feel-good energy that leaves a long-lasting imprint wherever they perform.
Jayan's playing style ranges from psychedelic-blues to Soukous. Inez's rhythms include rock, calypso, caribe, spanish and brazilian styles. Her voice is describe best as a mix between Tracey Chapman and Shakira.
The band draws on its Haitian roots and often incorporates old Haitian folk tunes into their original compositions to bridge the gap between the past and the present.
