Christmas Time

I always remember my childhood Christmas years.
What's this on my cheek, a tear?
Christmas time was full of joy.

Santa always brought lots of toys.
Daddy would always cook a country ham on Saturday night.
We got ham once a year.

Boy Howdy, what a delight.
We sat by the warm old fireplace.
Dad and Mom kept us warm and safe.

I go through life searching for that simple time.
My precious memories of Christmas time.
