Nivea Balloon Team Prepares for Times Square New Year's Eve
Revelers in Times Square receive lots of New Year's Eve 2014 goodies to keep them warm during the six hour event, including vivid blue Nivea Hats, Spider-Man gloves and bright red scarves from the Sino-American Friendship Association.
Throughout the evening 25,000 Nivea balloons are also distributed throughout Times Square, creating a spectacular shimmering sea of blue and silver up and down Broadway.
A large team of people from Balloon Affairs travel to New York City every year to start preparations days before the actual event. The entire operation is handled by Danny Magowan, who has being providing balloons for New Year's Eve in Times Square for the past 20 years.
