The French immersion begins for these University of Alabama students when they take their placement tests at L'Institute de Touraine in Tours, France.
In the summer of 2008, Joshua J. Hamilton of http://wellthatscool.com participated with the Alabama in France program offered by the University of Alabama and Capstone International Programs. He took a video camera, and filmed himself and his fellow students as they spent one week in Paris, and four weeks in Tours, France, enduring intensive language courses at L'Institut de Touraine, and living with French host families. Stranger in French tells the story of a group of students from different backgrounds coming together for an amazing summer abroad.
