Scuffles erupt at polling stations

Scuffles erupted outside a polling station in Bangkok as a ruling party politician attempted to enter the building to cast his ballot.

The politician's security guards came to blows with protesters who were blocking the entrance.

The politician later said he was merely protecting his rights and that voting is the peaceful solution.

Elsewhere, voters attempted to push past guards at a polling station that had been closed.

Tallies are not expected on Sunday as challenges and complaints about the results are almost guaranteed.
