Indonesia's Mount Sinabung volcano was still active on Monday after an eruption killed 15 people on Saturday.

The volcano has become increasingly active in recent months, regularly spewing columns of ash several kilometers into the air. The government has evacuated tens of thousands of residents from the area.

On Monday, rescuers entered a restricted area near the volcano to search for victims. When they returned to their base, the head of the evacuation team did not immediately comment on whether they had found any more victims.

Sinabung is one of nearly 130 active volcanoes in the world's fourth-most populous country, which sits along the "Ring of Fire" volcanic belt around the Pacific Ocean.
