Jeep Renegade Hybrid uses a BlueTec diesel engine

Jeep Renegade Hybrid employing a BlueTec diesel engine. Yet another electric vehicle from Chrysler, this concept comes with the same 40-mile, 16 -wh lithium-ion battery module as its partners in plug, but it incorporates electric motors on each axle for true four-wheel-drive capability. Range extends to 400 miles thanks to an electric generator coupled to a small-displacement BlueTec diesel engine. It's capable of achieving an equivalent petroleum fuel economy of—wait for it—110 miles per gallon.
