Known as a very rare form of anterograde amnesia, the disorder is real and one of the people impacted is Michelle Philpots, who after two bad accidents involving motor vehicles needs a deck of Post-It notes to go about her daily life.
Philpots though is married and her (very patient) husband reminds her of their life together every morning by showing her photos from their wedding. Luckily, the two were together prior to the accident, so Philpots does have long-term memories of them, just nothing passed 1994.
