McDonald’s – creating a McWorld, one outlet at a time

It was back in 1992 when Rutgers professor Benjamin Barber came up with the term “McWorld” At the time there were just 12,700 McDonald’s outlets all over the world.
Today there are over 33,000 and a survey by Sponsorship Research International found that the golden arches are recognized by more people than the cross, according to Fast Food Nation.
The fast-food chain feeds over 68 million people in more than one hundred countries and has no plans of slowing down.
