Barbarians - The Goths (British narrated version)
Making an exception here; this IS on DVD, but nowhere with this UK dub, so here's a taste of the first series for you (buy the DVD for the rest!). (The Huns ep got blocked, but just covers Attila who's pretty well-known anyway).
The Germanic Goths, like the Vandals, migrated from Scandinavia to settle in Eastern Europe. Following the impetus of the Hun invasion in the late 4th Century they carved out kingdoms of their own as the Roman Empire collapsed (in Spain and North Africa repsectively). The Visigoths are the main focus of this program, but the Ostrogoth branch of tribes actually joined with the Huns, later ruling Italy for a time before the Lombards took over.
