Day Song

Let us rise to the occasion
Let us rise in elation
In the morning I awake
Suddenly I realize my mistake
I get up to sing the praise
of sunrise in the day haze

I bathe in the translucent lake
The rainbirds fly across the sky
I smell fragrant pollen scattering in the garden
I touch light motes whirling in the air
I dance in the rain of fragrant petals swirling in the wind

Let us rise to the occasion
Let us rise in elation
In the morning I awake
Suddenly I realize my mistake
I get up to sing the praise
of sunrise in the day haze

Night lingers as slow as a walking shadow
Wake up to watch sunrise and gaze at morning glory
In the deep blue night faceless I lie up to the sky
In the soft nest of dreams I gaze at the stars
I am moved by the sway of entangled stories

Let us rise to the occasion
Let us rise in elation
In the morning I awake
Suddenly I realize my mistake
I get up to sing the praise
of sunrise in the day haze

On a splendid day I bask in the sun
The room is splattered by flakes of lightmotes
I wear the crystal necklace adorned with beads of rain
I try to touch the sky; I try to fly in the clouds so high
Let's lie in the seabed and dreams of underwater

Let us rise to the occasion
Let us rise in elation
In the morning I awake
Suddenly I realize my mistake
I get up to sing the praise
of sunrise in the day haze

The girl's flowing hair is tangled with seaweed
The tree branches are entwined over the waves
The newly-born bird twitters on the frail twigs
The bright audience starts humming the day song
The cheerful crowd bursts into chorus to praise the sun
