Dunya News - Azadi March will be held in any case, Imran tells Nisar

Chaudhry Nisar extended Eid greetings to the PTI chief during telephonic conversation.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar on Monday held telephonic conversation with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan to exchange views on upcoming ‘Azadi March’ on August 14, Dunya News reported.
During conversation, Chaudhry Nisar extended Eid greetings to the PTI chief.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan told Chauhdry Nisar that he considers him as a friend but he will not discuss Azadi March.
Imran said Azadi March will be held in any case from Lahore to Islamabad.
PTI chief’s spokesperson said that Imran Khan and Chaudhry Nisar’s friendship is decades-old and both usually hold telephonic conversation.
The spokesperson further clarified that no special contact was made with the government with reference to Azadi March.
The march scheduled for Independence Day (Aug 14) will head towards the federal capital from Lahore to protest what the PTI claims was rigging in the May 2013 general elections.
