Running Water Found On Mars 2014 HD Available

An extraordinary image, snapped by Curiousty Rover, appears to show water streaming away from a cluster of rocks.

As you can see from the close-up below, two wet patches are clearly visible on the Martian sand.

We could assume that these darkened areas are in fact shadows, possibly from over-hanging rocks, but on closer inspection, we can see that no rocks, or anything else for that matter, is protruding out from the rock formation.

This indicates that these are indeed wet patches, caused by liquid water trickling from the beneath the rocks, possibly from an underground stream.

If this is indeed water, then it indicates that Mars does have the basic requirements to sustain an atmosphere and possibly life.
