Baloch remembers missing persons on Eid Al-Adha, seeks justice
Quetta/ Geneva, Oct 13: When Muslims across the world were celebrating Eid al Adha on October 6, family members of Baloch missing persons were protesting on the streets of Quetta. The demonstration by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons was against the enforced disappearances and killing of Baloch political activists by Pakistani forces. The incidents of enforce disappearances and extra-judicial killings of Baloch people continue to remain rampant in Balochistan. According to the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, some 20,000 Baloch have gone missing since 2001. It alleges that over 4,000 Baloch activists are murdered in custody or target killed by the army. Faiz Baluch, the human rights activist and member of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons said those who are missing or killed by Pakistan forces were the peace loving people. People in resource-rich Balochistan blame Pakistan for forcefully occupying their territory since 1947.
