As far as the game goes, this Final Fantasy - A Realm Reborn (XIV) spent 3 years for R&D development as an attempt to right the wrongs of its widely criticized predecessor - Final Fantasy XIV( 2010 ). So much so that Square Enix actually apologized to players and decided to reincarnate with A Realm Reborn.
