Kahani Pakistani - Pakistani Dallas Family

This episode follows host Ayesha Gilani into the home and life of one Pakistani Dallasite family, the Shafis, and examines what life entails for them. The show begins in Southlake, Texas at an event that is a typical part of school life, the pep rally, where Yanis Khan is playing the trumpet.

Ayesha travels to their home and sits down with the family. 17-year old Yanis tells Ayesha about life in high school and balancing friends, school work, and hobbies. His 16-year old sister, Minna, is about to begin high school and shares her thoughts on being a teenager. Next, meet the witty nine-year old Azlaan who shares his hilarious theories on how to be a genius. Next, the host meets Dr. Shahid Shafi, surgeon and councilman of the city of Southlake, whom Ayesha interviews about life, love, career, politics, and strengthening the image of Pakistanis worldwide.

Ayesha then heads to the Radio Azad studio where mom and wife, Ayesha Shafi, works as a show host and co-director and is hosting a morning show, after which both Ayesha’s discuss work and life in America.
