Fire Officials Discover Remains Of Dog That Was Burned Alive In Crate

On Wednesday, fire officials in California discovered a dog that was burned inside a crate. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene a little after midnight following a report of a fire.

On Wednesday, firefighters in California were dispatched following the report of a fire, only to discover a dog had been burned inside a crate. Please note that the some of the details are pretty disturbing.

Upon arrival, firefighters thought the blaze was a burning pile of rubbish on the sidewalk, but Sacramento Metro Fire Captain Shani Cornell soon realized dog remains were inside the locked crate.

Investigators believe the small canine was still alive when it was set on fire. The flames were promptly extinguished, but the animal passed away as a result of the blaze.
