Kahani Pakistani Texas Part 5

The final part of Ayesha Gilani’s travels through Texas examine how its Dallas area residents study, work and live in the city. Ayesha visits the University of Texas at Dallas where she has a sit-down discussion with its Pakistani Students Association officers about life as a student at an American university, the facilities they offer, and what it’s like balancing their American and Pakistani cultures and upbringings.

Ayesha then examines how Pakistanis have found fashion designing and sales to be a lucrative field in which to make money, pursue their passions, and balance their home and family lives. She interviews several such entrepreneurs while attending the ZN Fashions Exhibition organized by Israr Qureshi and his wife. Finally, Ayesha visits the home of Texan power couple, Dr. Arif and Mrs. Amber Jamal, and discusses their journey from Pakistan to Dallas, studying, working and finding love in the United States.
