Neha Kakkar is an Indian playback-singer. She competed on the television reality show Indian Idol season 2 in 2006. In 2008, she launched the album Neha The Rock Star with music composed by Meet Brothers. Since then she has been playback singer for few Bollywood numbers. In February 2012, she recorded a song about Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan (SRK), which became a hit on YouTube. The song later on became popular as "SRK Anthem". She also came up with a single "Hanju" along with singer Meiyang Chang.
She is brought up in Delhi and is sister of singer Sonu Kakkar. She was a student of class 11 at New Holy Public School, Delhi when she participated in Indian Idol.
