After fighting his injury and losing his main sponsor, Quiksilver, Clay Marzo begins his comeback with hopes of making it back into the limelight of professional surfing. He travels to Indonesia and Panama and destroys his home spots on Maui while figuring out what it takes to make it as a freesurfer. Along the way he makes some tough realizations about how hard he's going to have to work but also finds an outlet for some of his social anxiety by doing volunteer work for the Surfer's Healing foundation, teaching autistic children how to surf.
