The Parochialkirche close to Alexanderplatz is one of the oldest Protestant churches in Berlin. The church had been destroyed almost completely in World War II. The famous scrap iron made cross still reminds of it, because it had been created out of the bombed ruins by Fritz Kühn in 1961. Today the church is used for concerts and events.
