I dedicate this film and its idea to the memory of my Grand Aunt who was responsible for my passion for Indian Cinema. 99% yesteryear films were inherently shot in Kashmir the reason being that Kashmir was "centrally air conditioned". In those days studios were muggy and hot...some of the films had the actress with ugly "sweaty" armpits. Subodh Mukherjee changed all that with Junglee in 1961. Kashmir's favourite son was Shammi Kapoor - that is because Kashmir became an immortal destination the moment he shouted his first Yahoo on the glorious snow clad sloped of Gulmarg. Our dream of taking him back to Kashmir never materialized because he moved on...but like Mickey Kapoor said his spirit will always live in his beloved Kashmir. The Return of the Legends to Kashmir after more than 2 decades is an ode to that Heaven on Earth and Indian Cinema which makes us remember Kashmir as the "location" of immortal romance...
