Rape accusation: Driver claims unconscious drunk woman got naked came onto him

Last week in Taipei a judge found a cab driver guilty of raping a female customer he was supposed to be driving home.
The woman worked at a hostess bar and was fairly wasted when she got into the cab. She passed out in the back seat within a few minutes.
The cab driver considered this a good opportunity to check the two of them into a motel and raped the unconscious woman.
When the woman came to she reported the man to the police despite his pleas.
In court, the driver said he hadn’t raped the woman. He said that she’d come onto him and then gotten naked and taken advantage of him. According to him, in the morning, she demanded money and then called the police because he refused to pay.
But there was also a flurry of text messages between the two, the cab driver begging the woman not to report him. After the initial message demanding to know how he’d gotten ahold of her phone number, the woman’s messages were mostly angry ones.
The judge found the man guilty based on the DNA evidence and text messages and sentenced the man to 4 years and 10 months in jail for rape.
