We've been showing a lot of Detroit Love on Boiler Room just recently. But then what's not to love - the city's unique music culture just keeps rolling out sounds that stand outside of time. Take Patrice Scott: a great DJ who's been spinning since the 1980s, he only turned to production in the mid-2000s and is still coming into his own. His style is 100% classic Detroit techno, with all the cosmic soul and jagged machine funk that entails, and it still sounds as fresh and futuristic as it did when Patrice was first spinning.
