You're not going to believe what you're about to see, especially if you've ever dropped in to the Rond before. For those who aren't familiar with it, the Glacier Rond is a Chamonix test piece on the unforgiving north face of the Aiguille du Midi.
The line starts off at a spine-tingling 50˚ before easing slightly into 200 meters of 45˚. If you decide not to air the 200-meter cliff below, then you'll definitely want to hang a left into the Exit Couloir for a final 500 meters at 40˚.
When there's good snow, it's a dream line. When conditions are not ideal? Hmmm...'hairball' might be a pretty good description and It's not uncommon to see visiting big mountain pros ski it for the first time with one or two ice axes in hand.
So watch in awe while Chamonix local Tof Henry annihilates this beast as if it's the home run at most skiers' local resort.
Did we mention that less than three months before this run the man was in an Intensive Care hospital bed with massive internal injuries?
