Child locked in cage: Parents arrested for caging autistic son

Police in Anaheim were dispatched to a home after receiving tips that a child was being kept in a cage.
The boy, aged 12, has severe autism, is unable to communicate, and his violent outbursts have come worse over time.
His parents say they put him in the cage to protect themselves and their two other young children from these outbursts.
The cage had a mattress on the floor and was large enough that the child wasn't forced into an unnatural position.
Conflicting reports were given to police on how long the boy had been kept in the cage for - from hours to days.
The boy appeared well-groomed and well-nourished. He and the siblings have been taken into protective services while the investigation is conducted.
The parents, Loi Vu, 40, and Tracy Le, 35, have been booked on suspicion of felony child endangerment and false imprisonment.
