Pakistan plane shooting: Assailants open fire on Pakistani International Airlines flight as it lands

Unknown assailants opened fire on a Pakistan International Airlines plane as it was landing at the Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar late Tuesday, killing one person.
Flight PK-756 was arriving from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at Peshawar, Pakistan. The aircraft was an Airbus A310 carrying 178 passengers, with most of them Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia to work.
According to local newspaper the Express Tribune, all passengers and cabin crew had already been seated, and were getting ready for landing.
An unidentified number of gunmen fired AK47s at the aircraft, as it was around 90 metres above ground. The plane was hit more than 12 times, with at least one bullet hitting one of the the plane's engines.
Despite the attack, the pilot managed to land the aircraft successfully.
