The film portrays the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Bhagwaan Krishnaji's birth and his life. The film touches on many different aspects of his life, through the retelling of the leelas. It's told that he was known as Makhan Chor (butter thief) and of his eternal friendship with Sudama. Other aspects include some of his adventures, such as when he killed the demon queen Putana and tamed the venomous serpent Kaliya.The film also features his teenage life, his marriage with Rukhmani, later on his life as a grown up man, and also about how he killed Kans.
