When it comes to home made, eclectic modern Folk/Roots Music with a well travelled sense of adventure, Sam Green and Joe James are an acoustic duo in a league of their own.
As well as making up one half roots rock band 'Sam Green and the Midnight Heist,' (www.sgatmh.com) this pair have been making music together since meeting at University in London 10 years ago.
Sam and Joe (both multi-instrumentalists originally from Devon and Wiltshire) spent their student life in the capital playing in many different musical situations and on a number of different projects together; schooling themselves in the world of writing and performing original music of all kinds.
It wasn't until 2012 however while on tour in Norway (Joe as Double Bass player for an energetic, good time acoustic band and Sam as a stompin', Lap-slide Guitar pickin' solo support act) that the two of them really took the idea of branching out as an official duo seriously.
Upon returning home to the UK, Sam and Joe set about embarking on a musical mission to travel and live out of the back of their vans, while playing their music and earning a living on the road.
This on-going adventure at home and abroad has since taken them to dimly lit Folk Clubs in Berlin, café performances on the Avenue des Champs-Elysees, to bars, clubs and art centres from Penzance to Brighton and to the 2013 Glastonbury Festival.
