The Lower Saxony police force has acquired two new EC135 P2e. The formal delivery of the first helicopter took place in June in Donauwörth. This week, Boris Pistorius, minister of the interior in Lower Saxony, handed over this helicopter to the central police department of Lower Saxony.
“I am pleased that the state of Lower Saxony chose a member of the extremely successful H135 family for the renewal of their fleet,” said Mr. Wolfgang Schoder, CEO of Airbus Helicopters Germany, during his on-site welcome speech. The second of the two helicopters, which are both equipped for police missions (e.g. ballistic protection, TRAKKA searchlight, Electro Optical Sensor), will be transferred to Lower Saxony’s capital city of Hannover in the coming weeks
