Mumbai CP Rakesh Maria axed amidst Sheena Bora murder probe - Tv9 Gujarati

High-profile Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria, who personally interrogated the accused in the Sheena Bora murder case in an unsual action, was on Tuesday shunted out of the post and transferred on promotion as Director General of Police Home Guards and the Maharashtra government appointed senior IPS officer Ahmed Javed as Mumbai’s police commissioner. Maria was elevated as director general of police (DGP) in the home guards division, taking over from Javed with immediate effect, though his promotion was expected only around the end of the month.
