Surprise ,Rays' Richie Shaffer Ignored After 1st MLB HR, Perfectly Celebrates by Himself
Tampa Bay Rays rookie Richie Shaffer may have received the silent treatment from his teammates after hitting his first career home run, but he didn't let that stop him from celebrating the best moment of his baseball career so far.

In the top of the seventh inning of Tuesday's game against the Chicago White Sox, Shaffer—playing in just his second MLB game—sent a 22 pitch over the right field wall for his first big league homer—and his first career hit.

The third baseman received a couple of highfives on his way off the field, but when he got to the dugout, his teammates were huddled up and ignoring him. That led to one of the best celebrations you will see.

Showing great poise, Shaffer pretended as if his teammates were lined up in the dugout to celebrate. As he walked down the dugout, he dished out highfives and hugs to his imaginary teammates.

Eventually, Rays players stopped the act and mobbed the rookie.

Shaffer talked about the home run and the celebration during a postgame interview:
