Footage has emerged of a huge blast at an east China chemical plant on Monday - less than a month after the Tianjin disaster.

The video, captured from a nearby building in Zhejiang Province, shows the complex engulfed in flames as smoke fills the sky.

Emergency services reportedly arrived at the scene of Nanming Chemical Co Ltd at 3.33pm on Monday, managing to control the fire by that night without injuries.

An electric welder is reported to have ignited stored methanol - causing an explosion and subsequent fire.

Local media have reported questions around the company's safety measures, especially in the context of recent incidents, and speculate that the sector will see tougher enforcement in future.
