Spokesman: Russia launches 18 attacks in Syria in last 24 hours

Russian jets have launched 18 attacks inside Syria over the last 24 hours, according to the country's official news agency, despite international concern about the military campaign.
The Tass news agency reported Friday that Russia had "conducted 18 sorties against 12 facilities of the Islamic State terrorist group," quoting Igor Konashenkov, the spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry.
But international officials and some people inside Syria doubt that Russia is limiting its attacks to ISIS.
Friday marks the third day Russia has carried out airstrikes in Syria.
An international coalition is urging Russia to immediately cease attacks on the Syrian opposition and civilians and focus instead on fighting the ISIS terrorist group.
