Cuban Five Honored in Bolivia

The five Cuban heroes who spent over 15 years in United States prisons for monitoring right-wing terrorist activities were awarded Bolivia’s Legion of Honor by Bolivian President Evo Morales on Monday. Later in the week, the five will visit the village La Higuera, where Che Guevara was executed 48 years ago. In the ceremony Morales urged people to look carefully at President Barack Obama’s speech at the UN. “For him, social movements are the enemy,” he said. “For him, those of us who oppose empire are terrorists...They, however, are servants of the transnationals. That’s the profound difference we have with them.” teleSUR
