In the wake of one of the worst looking loses in recent memory, the Pittsburgh Steelers did manage to get some good news before the now defunct Josh Scobee even booted his first kickoff of the game in Pittsburgh's 23-20 loss to Baltimore on Thursday.
Some players within Pittsburgh's locker room reportedly believe Roethlisberger could return before the end of this month, according to Jason La Canfora of the CBS Sports.
Expect the Steelers to take a slightly more tactful approach to ensure Roethlisberger is 100 percent, but if he does only miss the short end of his initial timetable, he'll be back in uniform on Oct. 25 against the Chiefs.
The team will obviously take their time in making this call, but for right now, Roethlisberger's speedy recovery is providing a sparkling outlook in regards to his future availability.
