Netanyahu Vows to Battle Incitement From Within
The government is in the midst of enacting harsh sentences against terrorists as well as against inciters, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu warned Sunday.
"We're in the midst of a wave of terror whose source is in the false and systemic incitement over the Temple Mount - incitement from Hamas, the Palestinian Authority (PA), and the Islamic Movement in Israel," he stated, in his opening remarks to his weekly Cabinet meeting.
"At the end of the week I commanded to draft 16 Border Police reserve units in order to restore security and order," he continued.
Netanyahu added, as well, that the government is due to pass Sunday a one-year minimum sentence for rock and firebomb throwers, as well as fines levied against both minors convicted of these crimes and their parents.
