01: Reaction with Active Hydrogen Compounds (Formation of Alkane)
* Compounds like water, ammonia or alcohol in which hydrogen is attached with highly electronegative element, easily dissociate as proton are known as active hydrogen compounds.
(2) Reaction with cyanogen Chloride (Formation of Cyanides):
(3) Addition of CO2 (Formation of carboxylic Acid):
(4) Reaction with Formaldehyde:
(5) Reaction with Acetaldehyde:
(6) Reaction with Propanone (Acetone):
