Plot: Major Hemraj Sharma (Pran), an ex-military officer, had to resign due to his injury and disability of his last war which makes him take support of crutches to walk. He has two twin sons, Kewal and Arun. Arun is a courageous child, while Kewal is soft-heartened and coward. Major Hemraj Sharma always shows concern towards Kewal and asks Arun to sacrifice things for him. Major Hemraj Sharma also asks Arun to sacrifice his love, Rekha (Zaheera) for Kewal. A devastated Arun leaves his father's house and comes across his school friend, Jyoti (Neetu Singh) who gets him a job in his father's hotel. Here a waiter informs him that his mother is alive and he is aware of where she is. Questions run through Arun's mind. He takes his mother to his father's house and seeks answers to his questions. What made Major Hemraj Sharma sepearte his wife and didn't say anything about them to Arun and Kewal? Was he so cold-hearted that he didn't care for her existence?
