National Zoo's Baby Panda Bei Bei Takes His First Steps

The Smithsonian’s National Zoo’s baby panda Bei Bei reached an important milestone on Monday, Nov. 9, taking his first steps. Bei Bei’s mother Mei Xiang watched the moment as her three-month-old took his wobbly first step.
