I have seen the mermaid braid on Pinterest a lot lately, and on Instagram, but to be honest... I never really liked how it looks on its own. That is why we have not filmed a tutorial for it.
Thinking about it for some weeks now, I thought the style would look better if the strands added in were not just from the front shoulder hair. Then it hit me, why not make a combo using the Waterfall Twists as a base for the hairstyle... and then use the falling strands as the add-ins for the Mermaid Braid! When I tried it out, I LOVED IT!
CGH#3 wanted to be my model, knowing that today is Mother's Day, and asked to do the introduction! Isn't she adorable???
Hope you love this hairstyle as much as I do, and if you do... please feel free to share!
Items Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, 1 small hair elastic, hairspray, and accessory {if desired}.
Time Requirement: 8-10 minutes
Skill Level: Hard
