1954 STORIES OF THE CENTURY - "Little Britches" - Jim Davis, Gloria Winters
Gloria Winters (1931-2010), may be best remembered for portraying Sky King's neice, "Penny," on the popular SKY KING series. Together with series star Kirby Grant (1911-1985), they routed renegeades, robbers and rustlers for 72 half-hour episodes originally telecast between 1952 and 1959. But the dimpled darling of the Flying Crown Ranch could also be convincingly on the wrong side of the law when the scrip called for it.
Here she is as "Little Britches" in a 1954 episode of the Emmy Award-winning series, STORIES OF THE CENTURY. Look closely and you'll see a young James Best, THE DUKES OF HAZZARD's "Sheriff Rosco Colltrane," in one of his early television roles.
