Nairobi, Dec 16 (EFE).- Kazakhstan's economic integration minister on Wednesday urged other World Trade Organization members to follow her nation's lead and eliminate farm-export subsidies, calling them a major distortion affecting agricultural trade.

In the first speech by a Kazakh official to the WTO since the country was accepted as a full member, Zhanar Aitzhanova stressed the great sacrifices the Central Asian nation had to make to accede to the intergovernmental organization despite its relatively low level of economic development.
