#Empowerista: 2015's Top Empoweristas Break Records, Barriers and Norms

This week we celebrate our top 10 favorite #empoweristas of 2015! It was a year of speaking up. We had an A-list actress write an essay about the Hollywood pay gap, and the most famous trans woman raise awareness about transgender issues. It was a year of many firsts. We had our first African-American Emmy winner for lead actress in a drama series, and our first female NFL coach. It was a year of breaking records. A woman took the title of most albums sold in one week, and the U.S. women's soccer team had more viewers at home than any other match in U.S. television history.
