Syrians Cautiously Attentive to Outcome of Friday’s U.S.-Russia Talks

The world awaits the results of the New York conference on the Syrian conflict to be held between Russia and the U.S. this Friday, although many Syrians are skeptical of the outcome. Most do not look to a single conference to resolve what they have been going through for five years. On the ground, support for the Syrian Army by Russian jets has resulted in significant advances. One citizen interviewed by teleSUR speaks of her confidence in the Syrian Arab Army to protect the people, noting that the nation’s capital and other cities are now safe.
